Excite, bring a smile, use fun and humour to involve and get the best out of people.

Thinktastic events are in a world of their own when it comes to generating positivity, fresh thinking and new ideas.

From Cabaret, aerialist dancers, to designing a cocktail for fun, nothing is beyond us, if it gets people on side, and shifts hearts and minds.

Here’s a sample – have a look.

Two Heads are better than One

Thinktastic events have attracted more than 300 business, sports and public service leaders seeking tangible ways to create a more positive, innovative and ambitious Scotland. Commitments and collaborations have formed, yielding tangible changing in organisational cultures – an accountancy firm embracing the Seattle Fish philosophy to a local council shifting its housing management focus to a recognition and reward approach. The message has reached a wider audience through media coverage and a round of national speaking engagements. The most recent event brought together the head teachers and pupils of Craigroyston Community High School and the St George’s private school with leaders from all walks of life. The youngsters demonstrated their musical talents, took part in important discussions and stood tall when delivering some breakthrough ideas from the stage. No wonder the event got so much coverage in the press and on television. Click here to view a taster of this event.

Maximise Your Potential

Thinktastic facilitated this recent Scottish Government/NHS Conference for Allied Health Professionals by providing each delegate with an inspirational momento, running an interactive, motivational session, and writing and designing the conference report for circulation to all delegates. 'Seeing at first hand 270 frontline practitioners inspired to run with and pledge to new ideas was uplifting. Thinktastic used fun, humour, motivation and positive participation to lift, energise and empower Allied Health Professionals to go and make change happen.'

The Kilt Walk

As an active supporter of Edinburgh based charity the Rock Trust which helps homeless young people develop the skills and sense of self worth necessary for independent adult life, Thinktastic helped the Trust put together their annual Kilt Walk, a five mile kilted walk around Edinburgh Castle. Kicking off with a ceilidh and rounding off with a concert, traditional Scottish bands such as Imelsa, Cantara and Clanadonia were joined by the Lady Boys, the Edinburgh Postal Pipe Band and two of the SRU star players. It was a day of colour, culture and revelry under the August sun. Get a flavour of the day by looking at our photo gallery.

It is Going Forward – Together

180 people from all across Edinburgh (young and old, political and non-political, professional and resident) filled the north stand at Easter Road Stadium for a Let’s Thinktastic session led by Mike Stevenson. An electric atmosphere, laughter and fun, old habits and attitudes discarded and wholehearted backing for a drive to make Edinburgh a World Leader in Participation. That was in the first hour. The rest of the day saw people agreeing on what and how they will work in the future. Social network sites, local budget planning to the use of exciting and imaginative techniques to get young people involved – everything was up for grabs and an exciting new plan was hatched as a result of the day. “This is what we have been crying out for for many years” - just one comment made at the post event reception.
