At Thinktastic, we like to support and reward great work in the community, in education and community education. As a CommunityMark company and a winner of the Merrill Lynch Education Award ourselves, we sponsored The Education Initiative of the Year Award at The Herald Society Awards. It was won by an unusual scheme from Aberdeen City Council’s Countryside Ranger Service, which enabled prisoners from HMP Craiginches to gain John Muir Awards for environmental skills, with a view to rehabilitation and eventual employment. Judges said it was a “superb” example of practical prevention work.
